1. The IGC (Idea Generation Consultation)

At our IGC we sit with you over a beautifully brewed cup of coffee and brainstorm your idea. Don’t be nervous, we’ll ask the important questions, draw sketches, strategise and assist with formulating a realistic budget, and bring forward creative solutions to meet your requirements. We offer product material options, manufacturing options and help you understand the project roadmap that will take your product from an idea to a tangible reality. We’ve got you!

Keeping your idea protected is paramount and we understand the need for confidentiality and trust. We love NDAs and are more than happy to sign one. In fact, we even have an NDA template if the dog ate yours.

2. Product Design Development

It takes a great amount of experience to solve problems in innovative ways. Good thing we’ve got oodles of the stuff. We provide insight into multi-discipline solutions, guiding you to the most cost-effective and viable decisions at every juncture. This creates a wonderfully clear direction early on in the development process. As we go, we explore how parts are manufactured, how they fit and fasten to one another and how they interact with any of the standard components in the design.

3. 3D Printing or Prototyping

3D Printing or Prototyping is how we take your product from design to a physical object. IRL!

For this, an exceptionally important part of the development process, we have our own 3D printing machines, rapid prototyping machines, and workshop facilities. Outside facilities are also at our disposal, both locally and in China. We base the choice of prototype method not on our facilities, but rather on which prototype solution is best suited to the required task.

4. Product Packaging Design

Usually, packaging is the first product experience the end-user usually has with your product. It is critical! Yet, so often this design function is left to the last-minute and treated half-heartedly. We design excellent, product- and concept-specific packaging ensuring a valuable, memorable and complete end-user experience.

5. Graphic Design

All bells and whistles accounted for! From branding to instruction manuals to marketing material, we offer a highly specialised graphic design service to account for your launch needs.

MOULD DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Our tooling partners draft up a mould-layout conceptual plan to forecast the build of the mould and the fine details of the process. Some important aspects which are addressed in conceptual design includes cold runner systems, hot runner systems (HRS), multiple cavities, family moulds, self-unscrewing screw threads, slides and escaping undercut cores and low production parts. In regard to product engineering, once the order has been received to develop the mould, a complete 3D design of the mould which is discussed and approved by the client, gets created
Mould Manufacturing
Careful consideration is taken when selecting the correct steel for the mould. Considerations are the type of polymer to be used and the expected mould life requirements. Our tooling partners have various state-of-the-art CNC milling machines with high speed spindle technology and the latest cutting tools on the market. Monitored by highly skilled and professional toolmakers with many years in machining experience, uncompromised high-quality moulds with excellent precision can be delivered. Trials are necessary to test the capabilities of new or modified moulds. The qualified and skilled toolmakers supervise the trials and the Statistical Process Controls testing. They complete a checklist in order to verify that the mould is up to the correct standards and can produce the correct parts. Once the processes have been completed and the product meets our client’s expectations, correct to their standards, the master sample product is signed off.
Mould Changes & Updates
Our tooling partners offer minor and major changes to existing moulds to update and change the product parts to suit any new requirements of the client.
Mould Service, Repair & Maintenance
Our tooling partners offer a mould service, repair & maintenance service plan which allows clients to have their moulds repaired or regularly serviced and maintained at an affordable cost. These experienced toolmakers take great pride in their quality workmanship, handling all your mould service, repair and maintenance needs in their state-of-the-art tool room facilities. Some of the repair services they offer include: Welding Texturing or re-texturing of tools
Mould Storage Services
Some of our tooling partners offer storage services for small to large moulds. The moulds are stored in the correct manner to reduce any wear and tear and exposure to the elements.
Global Mould Project Management
Our tooling partner’s skilled and professional teams will guide, and project manage any global mould project through the various checkpoints including shipping to ensure a successful outcome!

Product Material Research Study
Our manufacturing partners can conduct a product material research study on your behalf at a reasonable fee to determine the requirements of your product, what the mechanical properties need to be, the weathering and UV stability needed, whether it’s an engineering application, whether it needs to be printed on, whether it needs to withstand chemical resistance and many other considerations.
Custom Injection Moulding
Manufacturing orders with our trusted moulding partners can be committed to on reasonable terms and conditions. For large quantities or orders, our manufacturing partners prefer for the parties to enter into a Manufacturing Agreement which details protections for both parties. The materials used in Injection Moulding are Commodity plastics, engineering polymers and high-performance polymers.
Assembly, Packaging & Printing
Some of our manufacturing partners offer an onsite assembly and packaging facility with large warehousing and storage facilities to provide convenience to our clients in receiving a completed product.
